TIP: Treat all patients as new patients
As a member, there is nothing more satisfying than being a new patient no matter the medical facility. For the first few weeks, even up to 3 months, all staff members will give you their utmost care and attention.
Naturally, once you are considered a “regular” things start to go downhill. A different attitude begins to build until you are forgotten and your needs are not as important as those of the “new patient” who just enrolled.
This is a common mistake shared among many medical centers; patients begin to feel ignored and unimportant. They are taken for granted and eventually patients disenroll and move on to another medical facility, achieving the desired care by once again obtaining “new patient” status. The cycle repeats.
How to break the cycle? Member Retention.
Member retention should be one of the most important goals of your company. Efforts to keep members satisfied should be equal and at times greater than efforts to attract new members. Why? Very simple: Word of mouth, reputation and referrals are essential in any business for continued growth and it is no different in the world of healthcare.
Building a member retention team will take your business to the next level.
